Traffic Stop Nets Drug Arrest
A Barnsdall, Oklahoma driver pulled over for a traffic violation in Lubbock, Texas now faces more than a traffic ticket. Department of Public Safety troopers reported the results of a search of a pickup truck they stopped on Highway 84 near Sudan revealed 53 pounds of high-grade marijuana worth $246,000. They said they found bundles of the drug hidden between lumber in the bed of the truck. The driver, 30-year-old Marissa Norman, of Barnsdall, was arrested on a possession of marijuana charge. DPS investigators believe the drugs were being transported from the State of Washington to Oklahoma.
