Washington County District Judge Curtis DeLapp held a probable cause hearing for 45-year old Floyd Dee Duffield, Jr. of Dewey, who was arrested for threatening to kill his wife.  According to a court affidavit, Duffield's wife called the Washington County Sheriff's Office, very upset, and felt her life was in danger.  Reportedly, the woman received threatening text messages and was afraid that her husband was going to kill her or someone else.  Deputies served a search warrant at a home on county road 1200 and seized Duffield's cell phone and two BB guns.  Duffield told the authorities he was frustrated, was wanting his wife back, and felt like he needed help.  The affidavit states that the couple is separated.  Court records indicate that Duffield has a long criminal history in Washington County.  Duffield is due back to Washington County District Court on February 24 when charges are expected to be filed.  Bond was set at $250,000.
