The Dewey City Council met Monday night and approved a number of changes to the 2013-2014 budget. The changes dealt with extra fees, mainly from health insurance rates going up at the police department. Later in the meeting, the council discussed the possibility of adding a technology fee to tickets to help cover technology costs in the police department. These costs include purchase of computers and servers as well as the upkeep and use of the current system for issuing tickets. No action was taken at this time, but City Manager Kevin Trease was asked to continue research into the possible addition of this fee.
