A Nowata man is in police custody after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 2 year old. Kristopher Ray Stanley was arrested Wednesday after it was discovered that the child he was babysitting had injuries to its rear, genitals, head, face, and neck.   The parents of the child left it with Stanley so they could attend a custody hearing. The mother states that when she left the home her child was asleep and when she returned home she noted the cuts to her child's head, face, and neck. When questioned, Stanley claimed that the injuries happened when the child fell off a tricycle. Later, the father changed the child's diaper and discovered the injuries to his son's rear and genitals. A sexual assault examination was conducted and the child's rear was swabbed for DNA evidence. During the exam it was also discovered that the child may have been strangled.  Stanley is being held on a 500 thousand dollar bond and will appear again in court on the 28th.
