Yvonne House, Secretary of the Washington County Election Board, advises voters who want to vote absentee in the August 26, Democratic Runoff Primary Election, have until 5 pm on August 20 to apply.
Absentee ballot application forms are available at the County Election Board Office at 420 S. Johnstone Ave, Room 101.
House says that any registered voter may vote by absentee ballot in any election the voter is eligible to vote.  Voters can receive and cast an absentee ballot by going to the election board office on Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22, from 8 am to 6 pm or Saturday, August 23, from 9 am to 2 pm. A 2-member, bipartisan absentee voting board will be on duty to assist in-person absentee voters.
For more information on voting absentee, contact the election board at 918-337-2850.
